Our family of 4 walked the Kouga Camino during the September holidays of 2024. We all agreed it was our most amazing holiday ever!! Not only did the beauty of the Kouga Mountains and river blow our minds but also the hospitality of Bronwyn and Keith. We walked for 4 days and every day a new adventure awaited with a a daily change of biospheres. It is really difficult to describe how it touched our souls, but we left changed for the better. Each night we stayed in different but amazing, clean and comfortable accommodations, where a prepared feast awaited us. Our guides, including Keith, was interesting, knowledgable, and at the same time a good sport with a great sense of humour. We learned so much about our beautiful planet and I could see how it enriched the young minds of my 8 and 11-year-old kids. One of our highlights included a night of comfortable camping, where our essentials, including food, was carried to a magical camp by donkeys. The donkeys stayed with us overnight crazing around the tents. I would highly recommend Kouga Camino! If you are not up to a 4-day walk just visit Kouga Adventures and stay in one of their renovated chalets It is a place where one day is not enough and we would all love to return again and again.
